Youssef Takla , a Syrian man and Véronique Sedro, a French woman, both arts lovers explored for many years old cairo’s streets dreaming of an exquisite place to receive their guests and friends. When they found the buiding of Le Riad, it was an ordinary construction of 1960 , in very bad conditions within 81 inhabitants! But the location was unique and both of them felt inlove with the place.
With patience, Youssef emptied the complete building and he and Véronique began to design the plans of the hotel and supervised the work of renovation and decoration.
The narrow apartments became lovely and confortable suites decorated with antiques.
The roof full of slums and garbage became an exquisite oriental garden with an amazing view all over Old Cairo.
The simple façade became an antique model of moucharabiehs , arches and balconies. Their dream became reality. .
If you enter in Le Riad, their dream will be your dream.
